Introduction to Microsurgery
Three-day course aimed at surgical trainees (CT2 – ST4) with an interest in microsurgery skills.
Description
This course will provide significant hands-on rehearsal where participants will learn basic microscope set up, dissection and suturing skills, microvascular anastomosis and grafts.
Learning outcomes:
- Basic microscope set up
- Fundamental microsurgery skills
- End to end anastomosis (artery-artery, artery-vein)
- Vein graft
12 hours hands on practical time, 18 hours CPD
