Aimed at ST7-8 and senior fellows who have direct clinical access to robots. The generic skills covered in this course will be useful for many specialties. Formative feedback will be offered throughout, with a series of summative assessments at the end of the course. £100 discount for ALSGBI members.

Description

Day 1:  System information (Si, X, Xi), docking, targeting anatomy, communication, instrument insertion, undocking

 Day 2: Fundamental skills rehearsal with VR simulation, surgeon console and physical tasks (dry lab)

 Day 3: Skills development (sutured anastomosis) and wet lab

 Day 4: Final VR and console tasks, knowledge and skills assessment
